Student Performance & Progress Analysis:

The document is an analysis of an entire unit and student performance. The plan is designed for a course in which students use computers to research and learn how to use Finale Music Notation Software. Students use Finale to compose a variety of songs with given guidelines. This unit is designed universally for a variety of learners. Students are to approach this unit with an ability to think critically and analytically while learning a new piece of software that deals with musical elements. The course outcomes of this unit are reflected in students progress throughout the unit, and a compilation of their creative works that showcase the knowledge and skills they have expanded throughout the course.



Lesson Plan: Atonality

This lesson plan is designed for a general music class's discussion of Atonality. It deals with defining, performing, and composing atonal music. By providing students with a variety of musical experiences within the class period, they are able to demonstrate their understanding of atonal music by completing each activity with great success.
